Ronald McDonald Holiday House

The Ronald McDonald House is an American independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a local home away from home for families during the hospitalization of their seriously ill or injured children. It is not unusual for families to travel far, spending weeks or months away while their children are in treatment. The Ronald McDonald house prevents family division during difficult times and keeps children feeling safe with mom and dad always close by.

Both Tampa and St. Petersburg have Ronald McDonald Houses near children’s hospitals. For 39 years, the Ronald McDonald Houses of Tampa Bay have been helping children with challenging medical needs and their families stay close together. Since 1980, their houses have comforted and cared for more than 50,000 sick children and their families.

The founders of the Ronald McDonald House Charities understood that families are stronger when they are together. By staying at a Ronald McDonald House, parents can help provide their child the best care possible.

Celebrate the Season of Giving by giving the gift of togetherness. The Ronald McDonald houses of Tampa and St. Petersburg are accepting donations this holiday season in the form of toys (ages newborn to teens), gift cards, self-care items, books and food. If you don’t have time to shop and donate, the Ronald McDonald Houses of Tampa Bay also have an Amazon Wishlist where you can purchase items online and have them shipped directly to the charity organization.

Monetary donations to the Ronald McDonald House Charities are always accepted online through this link: https://rmhctampabay.org/togetherness/, or you can donate at your local McDonald’s restaurant.

With so many ways to give back this holiday season, Epic Specialty Staffing asks that you donate what you can, even if it’s just your time, to help benefit the community. For more information on the Ronald McDonald House Charities, visit their website.
