Job Description

Immediate Full-Time opportunity for a Board Certified Chief Medical Physicist  for a top 100 hospital cancer center in the Southeast  
 
My client’s Department of Radiation Oncology is searching for a Chief of Physics. The Department has experienced rapid growth in patient volume and clinical research in recent years and was recently accredited with the American College of Radiology.
 

Position Description:

This opportunity requires an ABR board certified Ph.D. candidate with a minimum of seven years clinical experience in all aspects of clinical radiation oncology and a vision to expand the Department's mission to provide excellent patient care and research.
 
The Department of Radiation Oncology is a state-of-the-art clinical facility, equipped with a Philips Big Bore 16-slice CT scanner with 4D capability, Varian 2300 IX linear accelerator with ExacTRAC IGRT (which is being upgraded to TrueBeam) and a Varian Trilogy accelerator with cone-beam CT IGRT. They also offer IMRT with 120 Leaf MLC and electronic portal imaging, Nucletron HDR, LDR Brachytherapy, BrainLab Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and use Eclipse treatment planning and Aria & Mosaiq Record and Verify systems. 

The selected candidate will actively join and direct a team of two Radiation Oncologist, one additional Physicist, two CMD Dosimetrist and six supporting Radiation Therapist treating a daily caseload of approximately twenty-eight patients.

Requirements 

  • ABR certification
  • Ph.D. Degree Required
  • 5-10 years of Medical Physics.
  • Varian, Trilogy, TrueBeam HDR experience.
